Born in Rome and making music out of Naarm (Melbourne) Australia, DoloRRes AKA Martino Eros Passi is no stranger to breaking convention. Performing in both English and his native Italian tongue, DoloRRes effortlessly blends an assortment of hip-hop, and electronic influences with niche and often humorous lyricism, which point to a kid growing up well acquainted with the localities of his surroundings in Australia and abroad. DoloRRes’ 2021 EP ‘IT’S ALL HAPPENING SOMEWHERE ELSE’ quickly received praise for its inventive amalgamation of genres and idiosyncratic wordplay. The EP was featured across TRIPLE J, NME & ACCLAIM; and quickly became an underground favourite amongst fans; culminating in the SOLD OUT performances across Melbourne. In 2022 DoloRRes launched his own production company ‘ALMANAC’ alongside good friend and lifelong collaborator Renee Kypriotis which saw him work creatively on a range of music videos and throw his own music events across Melbourne and Sydney. DoloRRes’ 2023 single BOSCO signalled a shift to his creative process. Performing in his native Italian tongue, the record has been praised by by fans and his contemporaries for it’s inventive blend of sampling and genre-bending. With an EP on the horizon in late 2023, DoloRRes’ continues proving himself as one of Australia’s most singular and exciting artists to watch.
