Just a local band from Sydney. Combining honest lyrics, singable melodies and a trademark shoegaze influence, Egoism tells stories of the grief and hope that comes with being a young adult. The three piece independent dreamo band from Sydney’s inner west, are shared lead vocals between the two songwriters Scout Eastment and Olive Rush, with Adam Holmes on the drums. Egoism released their debut album And Go Nowhere in May of this year which reached #9 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart, #10 on the Vinyl Chart and #1 on the AIR Independent Album Chart. Written and recorded over the past two years in home studios, the Sydney independent trio describe their debut album as “an ode to trauma, growth, and to the unbearable anxiety of growing up.” Egoism have toured with Half Alive, Upsahl, Eliza and the Delusionals, Last Dinosaurs, sold out their recent album tour and will be performing at Beyond the Valley in December.
