Sex on Toast are an enigma. A 7 legged beast, a phenomenon, and an auditory and visual feast. Explorers of funk, soul, theatrical rock and beyond, with all manner of line ups, SOT are lifers, plain and simple. Sex On Toast stepped into vans and planes and treated many of Australia and New Zealands’ major festivals with these shows. The group are currently working on the epic “Pegasus” LP. After years of directly referencing musical genres, this work is an attempt to move away from this tendency into a sonic universe into of itself, where pop sensibility and orchestral bombast rub shoulders, thematic material weaves in and out of each track and surprise is around every corner.
