Perth artist Katy Steele has today shared her latest offering - sparkly alt-pop track ‘Come And See Me’, written, recorded & produced entirely in her home studio with the help of Josiah Padmanabam (Grevious Bodily Calm). With a pounding beat that rolls in to a shimmery infectious chorus, the latest single is an elevated dancefloor filler guaranteed to brighten your mood. Discussing the track Katy says, 'This song was born when we were asked to contribute a song for a travel campaign that never eventuated! We were trying to capture the spontaneity of two people travelling exploring new terrain and looking for a new landscape. We were drawn to the classic feel of those eighties hits with the big synths and wanted the song to feel nostalgic, like hearing a classic track for the first time.” Showcasing her talents as a creative chameleon with previous singles ‘End Is Near’ and ‘Feel So Bad’, she’s forging ahead and today she announces the release of her second studio album Big Star out Friday June 9. Katy reflects on the process, “Of course, like many projects that demand so much energy and creativity, there were times I questioned everything.
